Canadian Sales Manager - Recreational / Adult Use

JOB SUMMARY

The Canadian Sales Manager will be responsible for channel sales of our Recreational Cannabis Products (current and new) into the Retail Stores. The primary role will be to create channel sales thru meeting with individual retail store managers and bud-tenders to increase product demand. Immediate need in Alberta, with some travel to Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and other provinces in the near future. They will leverage our retail partnerships such as SMOK, Starbuds and Fire & Flower

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the current state of the overall business relative to the competitive environment, market conditions and the growth agenda established by Aleafia Health
  • Establish and lead the sales strategy for Recreational / Adult-Use brands including Symbl
  • Measure the KPI targets and performance management programs to ensure the sales team has a clear understanding of goals and objectives
  • Ensure the reporting process to monitor and measure performance; leverage data analytics to drive continuous success Responsibilities
  • Support relationships with the Provincial Regulators and key retail partners. Assist with provincial agencies responsible for procuring cannabis
  • Communicate pricing strategy, training and customer education/product knowledge initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with peers across the organization, supporting a coordinated and integrated approach to the business
  • Manage both existing business relationships and solicit new accounts
  • Keep up with a continuously evolving regulatory environment, including federal, provincial and local requirements and constraints and recommend new Cannabis products, formats, sub-formats, pricing and promotional strategies and tactics

ROLE REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES

Experience & Education Requirements

  • University / College degree with a strong preference for Sales, Marketing or Business-related degrees
  • Experience managing reporting and sales forecasting required
  • Previous experience gained in the regulated industries is a must, more specifically, experience working in a regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of health care / medical cannabis / cannabis industry is ideal

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal, communications (verbal and written) and listening skills, both strategic and tactical capabilities and advanced competencies in creative problem solving
  • High energy individual with drive, determination and motivation to work in a start-up entity of our business
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment and proactively identify and recommend solutions
  • Strong team player who values the importance of an open, honest and transparent work environment
  • Strong technical experience, comfortable using various technical and web-based tools
  • Strong selling, coaching, presentation and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic team spirit
  • Knowledge and passion of Cannabis, Cannabis terminologies and vocabulary a plus
