Hon. Julian Fantino, former TPS Chief and current CEO of Aleafia Health Inc (TSXV:ALEF) (OTCMKTS:ALEAF) (FRA:ARAH) discusses his transition from law enforcement to cannabis health products. He points to his time as a member of the federal government, when he served as the Minister of Veterans Affairs and interacted with many veterans struggling with addiction and pain management, as educational in regards to his beliefs on the benefits of medical cannabis. Aleafia is a patient-centred company that has also obtained a license to grow so it can provide certainty of product for its clinic patients. Fantino indicates the company is interested in medical research and debunking stereotypes around cannabis use. Fantino suggests cannabis can be a solution to the opiates crisis.
